Jeffrey Yates, LCSW, TEP, is a licensed psychotherapist in
private practice in West Hollywood / Beverly Hills
working with individuals, couples and families. He has served as Executive Director of the Psychodrama Institute of Los Angeles, since it was founded in 2001. Jeffrey is certified since 1994 as a Trainer, Educator, and Practitioner of Psychodrama, Sociometry, and Group Psychotherapy by the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama, Sociometry, and Group Psychotherapy.
He served as the 2012-2013 president of the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama, Sociometry, and Group Psychotherapy, the organization that certifies practitioners and trainers in the North American region. He is a fellow and former Executive Council member of the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama. Jeffrey has been a trainer and supervising clinician with the psychodrama section, Saint Elizabeths Hospital (formerly The National Institute of Mental Health), Washington DC (1989-95). He has worked as a clinician in both inpatient and outpatient mental health and addiction programs and has conducted workshops for Sierra Tucson, The Caron Foundation, Visions Adolesent Treatment Centers and the US Center for Substance Abuse Prevention.
Jeffrey has been a keynote presenter for many professional conferences including the Psychotherapy Networker, formerly known as the Family Therapy Networker. He has experience as a corporate and management consultant for organizations including The United States Justice Department and the United States Postal Service. Jeffrey has been a grant recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts and the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. He was also the founding artistic director (1990-1995) of DC Playback Theater in Washington DC.
Danika L. Zivot has earned a Master’s of Business Administration, a Master’s of Arts degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy, and is a Licensed Psychotherapist. Danika's business experience focuses on organizational management and entrepreneurship. Danika believes that many important elements contributing to the underlying success of a business are also important contributing factors for the success of an individual. Topics and theories she works with include emotional intelligence, leadership, social responsibility, and spirituality in the workplace.
Danika is currently in private practice in the West Hollywood/Beverly Hills area. In her private practice, Danika focuses on treating adults and adolescents who are struggling with issues such as anxiety, ptsd, depression, addiction, co-dependency, relationships, etc. If applicable, Danika focuses on implementing effective organizational topics and theories into her client’s treatment approach. As she encourages clients towards learning and building healthy relationships with themselves and others, Danika may use these topics and theories to promote a deeper underlying awareness leading to successful organization of a client’s inner workings.
Danika has completed a marriage and family therapy internship at Kaiser Permanente Hollywood in the Department of Addiction Medicine helping adolescents and adults with chemical dependency and co-dependency recovery. Danika has also worked as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern at Insight Treatment Programs working with adolescents and their families who are struggling with drug and alcohol abuse, depression, family issues, behavioral issues, and/or self-harming behaviors.
